Across the three years and eight months of the Anti-Japanese National Liberation War from December 1941 to August 1945, the first-generation central leadership of the Communist Party of Malaya, young commanders of the Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army Independent Regiments, and underground cultural pioneers stood at the forefront of the anti-fascist war. Confronting betrayal, Kempeitai torture chambers, and fierce frontline combat, they laid down their lives between the ages of twenty-one and thirty-two. Recorded below is the Roll of Honour of fallen senior CPM leaders and cadres, in eternal remembrance.
